Upgrade/Credit and RPL Procedures
What is an R.P.L?
An R.P.L. (which stands for Recognition of Prior Learning) is like a 'credit' you receive for your previous studies of skills in the area you wish to study. For example, if you have studied Anatomy and Physiology in another course, you can get 'R.P.L.' for our Anatomy and Physiology. This means you don't have to complete this subject again nor do you have to pay for the subject.
Here is the procedure for completing an R.P.L. with Health Schools Australia:
Firstly, click here to download an RPL form. Once you get the form:
1. PROVIDE HSA WITH DETAILS AND EVIDENCE OF YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
SUBMIT THE RPL APPLICATION, EVIDENCE AND YOUR PAYMENT OF $65. Please note: Unlike other colleges, we never charge for subjects you have already completed. $65 covers as many subjects as you wish to gain credit for.
2. HSA STAFF WILL REVIEW THE RPL APPLICATION AND PROVIDE A COSTING FOR YOU. YOU WILL BE SENT AN ENROLMENT FORM AND A REGISTRATION PAYMENT FORM WITH THE COSTING. THE COSTING WILL BE VALID FOR ONE MONTH.
3. WITHIN THAT TIME IT IS UP TO YOU TO DECIDE IF YOU WISH TO ACCEPT THE COSTING AND COMMENCE YOUR STUDIES WITH HSA. YOU WILL BE SENT AN ENROLMENT FORM AT THIS TIME.
4. COMPLETE, SIGN AND SUBMIT THE ENROLMENT FORM TO HSA FOR PROCESSING.
5. ONCE PROCESSED, YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR FIRST SUBJECT WITHIN 2 TO 7 BUSINESS DAYS.
