The School has been Nationally Recognised since 1994, with study programmes covering Certificate Levels, Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas. Through collaborative agreements with Australia's leading Universities of Distance/Online Education, H.S.A. is able to offer its Students the opportunity of completing a Bachelor of Health Science Degree plus Advanced Diplomas in Naturopathy and Complementary Medicine with pathways to Master and Ph.D. levels. |

H.S.A is the only natural medicine college to have its seminars approved by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Medical doctors can earn up to 12 continuing professional development points towards maintaining their qualifications. |

| The Total Wellness Centre | |
Currently Wellness Centres abound in cities and towns alike, across the country. "Wellness" is a relatively new world in health circles, first coined in the 1960’s in the U.S.A. it has only recently surfaced in Australia over the last five to ten years and in most people’s mind is just another "buzz word" for good health. True Wellness espouses a clear philosophy and specific principles that are much broader and deeper than most people running these centres appreciate. |

Health Schools, in the tradition of its founder, has a continuing commitment of service to both the community and the profession. To this end Dr. Derig is constantly encouraging students/graduates to educate the public in the principles and practise of Natural Medicine and the importance of restoration and maintenance of good health as espoused by his multi-disciplined Wellness Centres that he has conducted over 39 years, and through Hands-On-Health Centres established for the marginalised and socially disadvantaged persons. |

| Therapeutic Goods Act (T.G.A.) | |
Holders of Diplomas/Advanced Diplomas in ingestive modalities Naturopathy, herbalism, nutrition, and who are full members of A.T.M.S. receive T.G.A. certificates permitting them to supply patients with "Practitioner Only" products from manufacturers. Certification is provided whereby practitioners have access to manufacturers literature concerning product information and the products themselves. It is to be noted that no practitioner may prescribe products to patients without this certificate. |
